Privacy Policy — Beyond What If?

Beyond What If? is a curated directory connecting people with both licensed therapists and mental wellness apps, products, courses, and group practices. This policy explains what information we collect from everyone who uses or lists on the platform — clients, therapists, and app or product partners alike — how we use it, and what we do not do with it.

Information We Collect

From therapists applying to or listed on the directory:

Full name, professional credentials, and license number
Business email address and phone number
Practice location (city and state)
Payment information processed via Stripe (we do not store card details directly)
Profile content: bio, photo, video introduction URL, specializations, and session details

From businesses or creators applying for a Directory Listing (apps, products, courses, or group practices):

Product or app name, company or creator name, and website or store link
Business contact email and phone number
Product description, pricing, platform availability, and relevant conditions or specialties served
Logo, product images, and demo or promotional video links
Payment information processed via Stripe (we do not store card details directly)

From individuals submitting a consultation request:

First name and email address
Any message content included in the consultation form

Automatically collected:

Browser type, device type, and general geographic region (via Google Analytics)
Pages visited, time on site, and interaction events

How We Use Your Information

To operate the directory and display therapist, app, and product listings to people seeking care or resources
To verify therapist credentials and licenses, and to review app or product applications for fit with our community, before approving listings
To process listing payments through Stripe, including recurring Directory Listing subscriptions
To create and publish complimentary collaboration posts for approved Directory Listing partners, as described in our Terms of Service
To send platform communications — such as application status updates, billing notifications, and occasional product announcements
To improve site performance and understand how visitors use the directory

We will never use your information to send unsolicited marketing from third parties, and we will not contact you for purposes unrelated to your use of Beyond What If?.

What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your data. Your personal information is never sold, rented, or traded to any third party for any purpose.

We do not share your data with third parties except Stripe, which processes payment information on our behalf. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how they handle that data.

We do not share personally identifiable information with Google through our analytics integration. Usage data collected by Google Analytics GA4 is anonymized and aggregate.

Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the directory. This includes data such as which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and which filters or search terms are used. This data is anonymized — we do not send names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information to Google.

We use functional cookies to support basic site operations. We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data to any ad network.

Data Retention

Therapist, app, and product listing data is retained for as long as your listing is active. If you cancel your listing, we will remove your public profile within 7 business days. We may retain records of your application for up to 12 months for administrative purposes.
Consultation form submissions are retained for 90 days, then permanently deleted.
Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default data retention settings.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to request that we correct or delete it. To make a request, email us at hello@beyondwhatif.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Therapists, and app or product partners, may also update or remove their listing information at any time by contacting us directly. For details on listing terms, billing, and the complimentary collaboration post included with a Directory Listing, see our Terms of Service.
